Carter Construction are approaching the completion of New Zealand Lane.

 

The houses, designed by ADDC Architects, are all 4 Bedroom detached homes, beautifully fitted out and finished, and incorporate efficient home control systems, underfloor heating and heat recovery ventilation, throughout.

In a negotiated Contract with our Private Client, and working with Design Partnership and Architects, SGP of Leicester, Carter Construction has undertaken the complete New House at Cosby.

 

Constrained by a difficult site, in a residential area, and having to adhere to very tight Planning Conditions, the house is a significant, multi-gabled Design Statement, and incorporates every possible modern facility and feature, including superefficient heating, ventilation and control facilities, smart-home technology and integrated equipment.

 

Apart from the main house, the garage has a full floorplan basement, providing further facilities and an Entertainment centre.

5 New Homes at Cheslyn Court

Grimesgate, Diseworth

Working as a Joint Development with our

Client – Diseworth Homes Ltd, we undertook to

re-address an existing 2 House Planning Permission,

to provide (ultimately) 5 new bespoke, and characterful homes in the Conservation Area of Diseworth.

 

Arranged in a Courtyard around a central feature island, the 3 homes to the rear alluded to a Barn-style conversion, with the 2 homes at the front being the significant statements, all after long and detailed negotiations with the Local Authourity, Parish Council and the Conservation Officer.

 

Now with 3 Homes sold, the final 2 plots have specialist interiors and fit outs, carefully planned by our Interior Design team, with an exemplary level of quality and excellence.

New Eco House, Southfields - NHBC Winner 2013

Allan Road, Fritchley, Derbyshire

Project Value: £350,000.00

 

Carter Construction was appointed as the main

contractor for the construction of a new Eco House on

behalf of a private client.

 

Although a relatively small project, the construction of

this Eco house proved to be one of the most complex

and intricate construction projects that we have

undertaken to date. The construction incorporated a

complicated basement construction and waterproofing

detail, a large public sewer diversion, new statutory

services, extensive retaining wall construction, part

traditional and part timber external wall construction,

precision steelwork and glulam beams construction,

flat roof construction with concealed guttering ready

to take a sedum roof, dual coat aluminium external

windows and doors, full interior finishes and extensive

eternal works.

 

Our Site Manager, Phil Bates, was awarded with the

NHBC Pride in the Job award for a single dwelling for

this project. We are extremely proud of this

accomplishment and taking longer to complete than

Case Studies first envisaged, the patience from all

parties was rewarded with a truly spectacular feat

of construction excellence. This project was a true

challenge, however the end result has proven to be

one of our finest construction accomplishments to

date and one that everyone involved can be extremely

proud of.

Station Meadow View – Hazel Rise Ltd

Duffield, Derbyshire

Project Value: £2.9 million

 

Project: 24 Luxurious and Quality Apartments, at Station Approach, Duffield.

Working in partnership with Hazel Rise Ltd, Carter Construction was contracted to provide a fully encompassing design and build package for the planning, design, construction and marketing of 24 luxurious and quality Apartments at Station Approach, Duffield.

 

The construction works consisted of the full demolition of an existing service station and extensive ground decontamination. This was followed with a full CFA piled foundation and ring beam system, constructed under the supervision of Network Rail, due to the adjacent mainline railway. The superstructure consisted of traditional masonry construction with precast concrete floors, concrete stairs, lift-core, etc forming 4 floors of habitation, with a steel framed and

traditional cut timber roof covered in a natural Spanish

slate. The individual Apartments were then finished to

an exceptionally high standard and specification,

including all services, underfloor heating and whole

house ventilation. As we strive to factor in environmentally

friendly technologies where possible, Carter Construction

also introduced the very latest SMART metering technolog

for inclusion within the project. This simple, yet effective

measure actively aids in facilitating the reduction of

energy consumption used by the occupant – enabling

them to reduce their carbon footprint.

 

Externally, extensive civil works were under taken,

incorporating new service mains, 100m3 stormwater

attenuation system, external lighting, car park and

entrance road construction, block paving and a modern

architecturally designed landscape.

 

The project also included the design and build of 8

luxury garages, using the same quality and specification

of building materials utilized within the Apartments,

incorporating automated garage doors and full amenities.

Hazelwood Road – Private Client

Duffield, Derbyshire

Project: A Luxurious and Quality Bespoke Dwelling, Hazelwood Road, Duffield.

 

Working on behalf of a private client, Carter Construction was contracted to provide a fully encompassing design and build package for the planning, design, construction of a Bespoke Dwelling that was ergonomic, environmentally friendly and sustainable.

 

The construction consisted of a new dwelling that had

a basement, contemporary ground floor layout, eight bedrooms over two floors and full commensurate facilities. Internally the finishing works are completed

to an exceptionally high standard and specification, utilizing the very best of brands and contemporary domestic technologies. New and exciting ‘green’ systems were also incorporated throughout this project, such as rain water harvesting, next generation

solar panel heating, underfloor heating and SMART

metering.

 

The project also incorporated a separate three car

garage, with a first floor workshop and Apartment.

Project Value: £230,000.00

 

Bespoke house built for a Private Client, on Broadway

in Derby. Involved extensive tree protection works,

to maintain the street scene and existing foliage.

Incorporating all modern technologies, insulation,

photo-voltaic electric cells, underfloor heating and
