Star Micronics and Morgan Industrial Properties
Raynesway in Derby
Construction of a new Headquarters, Showroom, Training and Assembly facility for Star Micronics.
Carter Construction Ltd have assisted in the relocation of Star Micronics from their current home in Melbourne, Derbyshire, to a new, front-line, modern facility on Raynesway in Derby. Working with Morgan Industrial Properties as Site Owner and Developer, and in conjunction with Lyall and Lyall – Architects and Designers, and AJS Structural Engineers, we are currently in the Frame and Cladding stage of the works, with fit out to follow.
We also had to overcome extremely difficult ground conditions, and a raised floor level, due to local flood risk issues. Working with Vibro Menard, we installed a ground bearing, dynamic solution of Vibro Stone Piles to support the main building pad foundations, and the floor slab. This allowed a cost-effective and traditional construction solution, without excessive underground costs.
